So the birds...not hand trained. Which means they freak out when I stick my hand in the cage. And of course, I was trying to change their food and they both get out in my room. Not very coordinated flyers I might add. After flying into a few walls I finally catch one of them. (The birds were flying into walls, not me) That thing latched onto my finger with its beak so hard. And even once I had it back in the cage it wouldn't let go. I had to shake it off. I lost the other one for a few minutes. I could hear it chirpping, I just couldn't find it. It was in on my beanbag under a stuffed animal. It got my thumb...bed. I screamed. It wouldn't let go either. Little buggers.
If you ever eat at Carrabas, eat at the bar in front of the kitchen. Mucho entertainment. At least from the cooks we were sitting in front of. Plus, we got free cheese sticks, and a free dessert that fell apart and the cook couldn't serve.
I traumatized a little girl with Charlotte's Web this weekend. I wanted to watch the new version that she had, but apparently she didn't. As soon as I took the movie out she started crying. She's two. I told her we were going to watch the piggy and she spent the next three minutes balling and crying "no piggy...no piggy" I just laughed, it was hilarious. Once the movie got started she was sucked in. She never turned away from the TV. If you ever get to watch a two year old cry "no piggy" do it, it's fun. Probably not for the two year old, but they won't remember it in five years anyway...we hope.
